A garden bench set into a hillside with trees behind, overlooking a cropped field -
A village green with two established cherry trees and a garden bench underneath - to the right of the picture is a line of wooden posts, and a road sweeping left into the distance. -
A row of Green bow top fencing in the foreground behind a concrete path. Behind the fencing is a skate park , and behind that a row of tall trees. A Blue car in the bottom left foreground.
Thanks go out to all our councillors and lay members on the parish council, and also the team at the Wickhambrook Memorial Social Centre (MSC) – we couldn’t look after the parish without you.
This week Ken and Gloria of the MSC cleared all the weeds alongside the railings at the Skate Park. Mike Lavelle, our Chair, has also lifted the crowns on two of the Cherries at Coltsfoot Green and carried out repairs and tidying around our benches on Coltsfoot Green and Six Acres – Thank you!
Next Wednesday our planned parish morning will focus on cleaning the village sign with soap and water – we meet at 10:30 at the Chapel of Rest – please get in touch with me if you would like to join in.
Did you know that we’re looking to recruit to the following roles:
- Litter picking (one morning, three or four times a year)
- Parish tidy mornings (monthly, 1st Wednesday morning – March to November)
- Community Speedwatch (we now have a core group, and new members are always welcome!)
- Become a councillor—we currently have a vacancy for three councillors
You can do as little or as much as you like —we value every contribution, and every little bit helps us help our community!
