Good morning
This is to inform you of the deadline for applications to our Go For It grants scheme which we launched in July last year.
To date the Go For It grants scheme has currently supported 24 projects helping toward the delivery of our strategic priority for Thriving Communities.
The scheme offers up to £300 to help not-for-profit groups deliver improvements to their local area.
Go For It is about supporting new ideas and helping get them off the ground with small amounts of seed funding. The money is to help set up new groups or to allow existing groups to do something experimental and new.
It will back ideas that will bring residents together, inspire people to get more active, increase participation, support health and wellbeing or respond to local needs through innovation and activities.
The grant may be used to support start-up costs such as equipment, venue hire, promotional materials, transport and more.
The scheme which is backed using £10,000 of funds allocated to the council from Central Government from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF).
Money is still available but applications for these grants must be made no later than 9am on Monday 21 September 2026 as the grants all need to be paid out by the end of September.
