A note from your clerk – Anglian Water: Proposed Cambridge to Rede pipeline
Hello, I've received this information from Anglian water regarding their proposed new pipeline...
Published: 10 February 2026
From Anglian Water:
Following on from our scoping opinion, we’re currently preparing for a public consultation event in Wickhambrook in March. This will give local residents the opportunity to engage directly with the project team, view plans and maps, discuss timelines, ask questions, and share their views in person.
We would very much encourage you, members of the Parish Council, and parish residents to attend:
Thursday 19 March, 4:00pm–7:00pm Wickhambrook Memorial Social Centre
We will also be running additional public consultation events in these areas:
- Wednesday 4 March, 4:00pm–7:00pm (Burrough Green Reading Room, Bradley Road, Newmarket CB8 9NH)
- Wednesday 11 March, 7:00pm–8:30pm (Virtual – Microsoft Teams)
- Wednesday 25 March, 4:00pm–7:00pm (Saint Andrew’s Centre, School Hill, Histon, Cambridge CB24 9JE)
Further information, including how to register, is available on our website. We’ll also be writing directly to parish residents in the coming weeks, but we would be very grateful if the Parish Council could help share the event details via local newsletters or social media channels.
For reference, I’ve included the proposed map submitted to the Local Planning Authority, which shows the red line boundary of the scheme. There’s also some background information on our website: Cambridge to Rede Pipeline.
