“Beyond The Edge Of Light” is a love story set during the time of the Second World War. Two young people from opposing worlds meet and fall in love but circumstances intervene to keep them apart. At the start of the novel Charlie is visiting his grandmother in a care home. He has brought a bag of letters and postcards which stirs something in Missie. She sends Charlie to retrieve a box file filled with more letters, dusty and brittle with age. Hidden within is the story of Julia (Missie) Ormesby and Conrad Von Echlau.

After an interesting question and answer session refreshments of tea, coffee and homemade cakes were served and Jamie signed copies of his book for people who wished to buy them.
