Neighbourhood Plan: Your Village, Your Voice, Your Future

Do you want West Suffolk Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Wickhambrook to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?

We now have the Declaration of Result.  The turnout was just over 33% and just over 82% voted yes.  West Suffolk Council will now go on to make (adopt) The Plan – this is likely to be at their December meeting.

Neighbourhood Plans guide future development in villages and are used by local authorities and Government planning inspectors when making decisions on planning applications.

Preparing the Neighourhood Plan has been a huge undertaking and wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and hard work of Cllr Tracey Turner and the Neighbourhood Plan Working Group, made up of parish residents including:

Richard Byers – Secretary, Diana Carroll, Emily Bayman, Jamie Green, Penny Bayman, Sandra Law, Roger Merry, Sue Sternberg and Tara Hayden.

We would also like to thank our Planning Consultant, Ian Poole of Places4People for his advice and work on this project!

If you would like to find out more about the plan take a look at our dedicated web page.
